The tour was very nice until we were delayed at Pier 17 due to the failure of the disabled lift.The disabled persons in wheelchairs should not have had to wait. They should have been offered taxis or other form of transportation & the rest of the bus should have been able to proceed on the tour. It took the edge off a good tour. I chose your tour over another similar one because:
1) it was a complete tour of the city from Harlem to Battery Park vs. just mid-and downtown and only $10 more for the 8 hours vs 5 hours
2)lunch at Little Italy and the one hour tour by water taxi
3)top of the Rock was an unexpected but delightful way to end the tour
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and humorous; our driver skillful among NYC traffic. You kept to your schedule admirably with so many variables one finds in the city and among a bunch of tourists.

This is an excellent comprehensive tour of Manhattan from both land and water. The tour covers the area from Harlem, Central Park, 5th Avenue, Times square, the Garment district, China town, Little Italy, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Madison Square Garden, Battery Park, New York Harbor, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and many more points of interest and lastly to the top of the Rock. Our tour guide, Dave, was extremely knowledgeable and clearly loves New York, even though he has traveled around the world five times. He has a great sense of humor and occasionally whipped out his harmonica to accompany his information with a little theme music! He also brought a sample of the schist (rock) that Manhattan is built on and passed it around the bus. He speaks very clearly so he's easy to understand, and he tried to involve everyone, making even the latecomers feel welcome. We highly recommend this tour as a great introduction to Manhattan.
