86th Floor Observatory: The 86th Floor Observatory, 1,050 feet (320 meters), reached by high speed, automatic elevators, has both a glass-enclosed area, which is heated in winter and cooled in summer, and spacious outdoor promenades on all four sides of the building. High powered binoculars are available on the promenades for the convenience of visitors at a minimal cost. souvenir counters are also located in the 86th floor observatory. The 86th floor observatory is handicap accessible.

102nd Floor Observatory: Admission tickets are only sold at the Observatory ticket office, located on the 2nd floor of the building. Cost is $15.00 per ticket - subject to change.

Observatory Hours:

• Observatory is Open 365 Days from 8:00am - 2:00pm with the last elevator going up at 1:15am.

Building Entrance Security:

• Everyone must go through the security check when entering the building. The security check is similar to what is present at most airports and consists of a walk-through scanner and baggage check system. No glass or bottles are permitted to be taken to the Observatory. Cameras and camcorders are allowed but no tripods. ONLY carry-on size and style bags, suitcases, backpacks, duffle bags, luggage, etc., are permitted. We do not have a coat check, package, baggage check or holding area, so please do not attempt to bring non-carry-on style luggage to the Observatory. Once you leave the building, you must pass through the security check to re-enter. Note: There are no storage facilities on site, so please be prepared to carry everything with you during your visit to the building.

Location and Entrance Fifth Avenue at 34th Street

• Main Entrance - Fifth Avenue between 33rd & 34th Streets. All Visitors must use this entrance. During busy times there may be a wait so please be patient!

• Handicap Entrance - 34th St., the entrance between Bank of America and Hallmark Cards. Note: The 34th Street Handicap Entrance is only open Monday - Friday until 6pm. Please use the Main Entrance for all other times.

• Everyone will be directed to use the Main or Handicap Entrances if you try to enter the building from any other entrance.
