  • Macy's Holiday Windows: Macy's is home to some of New York City's most famous holiday window displays. Every year, Macy's features two series of window displays - one set depicting scenes from the classic Christmas film Miracle on 34th Street and a second set that is new each year. For 2007, the Macy's Window Displays each depict a different tree theme, with animated scenes and music. Herald Square, Broadway between 34th and 35th Streets
  • Saks 5th Avenue Holiday Window: Saks Fifth Avenue features whimsical holiday window displays along Fifth Avenue. Saks Fifth Avenue's animated window displays are timeless and great for families. 611 Fifth Avenue at 49th Street.

  • Bergdorf Goodman Holiday Windows: Located along Fifth Avenue, south of Central Park, Bergdorf Goodman holiday window displays are sophisticated and stylized. The feature couture fashions, as well as authentic antiques. 754 Fifth Avenue at 58th Street.
  • Bloomingdales Holiday Windows: Bloomingdales features some of New York City's most beautiful holiday window displays. The Bloomingdales window displays are detailed and elegant. The window displays are typically unveiled in late November or early December, and are on view through the New Year. 1000 Third Avenue at 59th Street

  • Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree:  The Christmas tree that adorns Rockefeller Center is typically a Norway Spruce. The minimum requirement is that the tree be 65 feet tall and 35 feet wide, however manager of Rockefeller Center gardens prefers the tree be between 75 and 90 feet tall and proportionally wide. Norway Spruce that grow in forests don't typically reach these proportions, so the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree tends to be one that was ornamentally planted in someone's front or back yard. There is no compensation offered in exchange for the tree, other than the pride of having donated the tree that appears in Rockefeller Center. Over five miles of lights are used to decorate the tree every year. Only the lights and the star decorate the tree. The tree is recycled and the 3 tons of mulch are donated to the Boy Scouts. The largest portion of the trunk is donated to the U.S. Equestrian team in New Jersey to use as an obstacle jump.
